It’s a different kind of tick,

And it’s a different kind of tock,

And it’s a different kind of hands,

When it’s God’s time on the clock.

It’s a different kind of will,

And it’s a different kind of way,

And it’s a different kind of clarity,

When your Savior lights your way.


And it might not be what you expected,

And it might not be what you perceived,

But when the time has run its course,

What you have is what you need.


And when your blessings overflow,

And you stand in praise and awe,

Know that His time is best for all,
